Meet Oscar and Julie Bond
Julie Bond, of Bend, Oregon shares her life with Wee Oscar, born June 2, 2021. I have to admit, this was one of my most successful breedings, the mating of my beloved DanBar Wee Mary Quite Contrary with Norma Rice's AKC Ch. Teddy Bear McGreen. I myself kept two pups from this litter, Wee Heckle and Wee Jeckle.
Julie also shares her life with a rare breed, a Berger Picard, a French sheepdog breed that looks a bit like a giant cairn with very long legs. Julie has been attending Barn Hunt tests when she can find them in her rather remote part of the world, and has earned some interesting titles on Oscar through the North American Sport Dog Association (NASDA).
Urban Locating I title as defined by the organization sponsoring it is: Urban locating trials test a dog's ability to locate quarry in urban environments such as warehouses, out buildings, and alleys. In this case quarry is a rat (which is protected).
The Trailing and Locating Level I title is a dog sport title earned by dogs that demonstrate their ability to follow a scent trail and locate the quarry (rat).
