DanBar Wee Bonnie, CHIC, RATN
Meet Bonnie & Sylvia!
Bonnie was always extremely special. There are just some dogs like that, and you are lucky if you meet even one in your lifetime. Bonnie was my first cairn terrier female, and I owe her so much as she was the foundation of my cairn terrier breeding program. It all started with her and Wee Mikey.
Bonnie has never met a person she didn't like, but once she was retired and spayed (age three) she was not fond of other dog's puppies bugging her. She was always more of a "people person" than a "dog's dog" so living here on the ranch, while enjoyable, was perhaps not the perfect situation.
So, when an extraordinary English woman named Sylvia contacted me about wanting an older cairn to replace her beloved cairn which had recently passed, fate moved its giant hand...
It was one of the toughest things I've ever done, letting Bonnie go, but it WAS the right thing to do for both Bonnie and Sylvia. These two were made for each other and have spent many happy years together now. Wee Bonnie has shamelessly wrapped Sylvia around her paw, and I could go on for hours about the funny stories Sylvia shares with me about the way Bonnie runs her life. Bon Bon is VERY stubborn about some things, and recently she has been breaking our hearts because she is insisting on trying to visit an elderly neighbor of Sylvia who recently passed away. Sylvia loved neighbor Betty very much and walked over to visit her in her home several times a week. Recently Sylvia sent me pictures of Bonnie lying down and refusing to walk past Betty's home...
That's Bonnie. She wants what she wants and she has no problem letting you know what it is she wants. She and Sylvia are both such sweethearts I am SO happy they have each other. Thank you, Sylvia, for giving Bonnie the royal life she deserves.

Wee Bonnie is not a young pup anymore, but still frisky and naughty! Below, Bonnie having "tea" on the porch with Sylvia.
