I'm OK With Being Disliked! LOL!

While looking around on the internet you are probably, at some point, come across some negativity concerning myself. I consider this a POSTIVE!
Of course, people can disagree and still act with class and be respectful - but only if the disagreements are between people of similar values and ethics. Everything has to be taken into context, and in the case of those who dislike me, you need to take a look at who these folks are. Are they people you or I would admire? Are they people you or I would respect? In that case something might be terribly wrong. But when people who abuse animals or children in such a way that I feel compelled to speak or act to bring their behavior to public attention, you can be good and sure they are going to kick. And that's find; I believe that if a person is going to "dish it out" they need to be able "to take it". The only thing I ask is that only TRUTH be discussed. No silly, made up stories or things taken completely out of context in order to deceive.
As an animal control officer and someone who gave seminars internationally to law enforcement on how to investigate dog and cock fighting situations, I picked up a lot of detractors from among the punks and cowards who make up the population of modern dog fighters. And yet, as an honest person with knowledge of the situation, I was actually befriended by many old-time game dog and cock folks who were equally disgusted with what game dog and game bird activities had become. In fact, I was asked by perhaps the most famous person in game pit bulls, Louis Colby, to write his family's history with game dogs and cocks for him. I was honored to assist him in recording the history and proud that he understood I would treat the subject with truth. I am pleased to count among my friends a number of retired dog and cock fighters who as people of intelligence and class, can understand that while we may not agree on the subject of matching animals, we CAN share a profound respect for the animals involved.
But oh, the wild stories over the years!
I have always been an outspoken opponent to those things I find awful and believe me, it has made me many "enemies" - and to be honest that makes me proud! I would be upset if such people liked me. Most people can disagree and move on, but some few disturbed individuals become obsessed with "payback" for being exposed.
I choose to ignore the nutcases. I don't allow people to control my thoughts or emotions and to be honest, such people's opinions are meaningless. As Winston Churchill is reported to have said, "You won't get anywhere if you stop to throw stones at every dog that barks at you." However, there are folks out there who don't know me, and may wonder if the various wild stories are true. For those folks I can only say you are welcome anytime to visit me at my home, see my dogs, ask me anything you wish. Much better than wasting time trying to debunk sillyness.
One example to give you insight: some time ago I saw a horrific video on-line of a so called "rescue" which specialized in keeping dogs with zero quality of life alive for purposes of getting donations. In the video one of the dogs which cannot walk is put out in a yard where it repeatedly violently falls to the ground while the woman laughs. Many of her videos showcase dogs with injuries or neuromuscular issues which cause them to fall repeatedly to the hard ground or have to drag themselves pitifully in order to move at all. I will be honest - such scenes of dogs unable to live normal, active lives being kept alive so that someone can feel like a "hero" makes me angry and I don't pull any punches in calling these types of animal abusers out. Thinking of one of my beloved companions being treated like that just kills me.
So, you may find all sorts of nonsense from the "rescue" in question "Emotional Rescue LLC" (an admitted 'for profit' business) because I called her out on her cruelty and she is upset. Good! She has started a campaign among all her fellow abusers to bad mouth me and I am fine with that. She has tried to report me to the AKC but of course the AKC had inspected me as a kennel with zero issues. I mention this because as long as I speak out against shock collar abuse, warehousing living dogs in horrific "no kill" facilities, shelters handing out dangerous dogs like candy just so they can meet "no kill" standards, people who have children JUST to live off the money they can make through government handouts and child support, well, I'm going to piss people off and they are going to holler. And like I said, that's just fine.
Anybody worthwhile, anyone I would want to place a pup with won't believe silly stuff on the internet... they will call me, visit me, or otherwise prove to themselves what TRUTH is.
So, come on over and and have a cup of coffee! The water is fine LOL!
